I live two miles below the earth
Imbedded in rock but it doesn’t hurt
I’m an Extremophile
It’s my lifestyle
Though to you it might seem terribly hostile

But when the Earth was formed years ago
Debris was crashing to a fro
So the only place for life to thrive
was underground just to stay alive
it ain’t no jive

I don’t need sunlight to survive

Well we might be long lost relatives
But I didn’t get you any Christmas gifts
And I had to return your photosynthesis
I reproduce every thousand years
Plenty of time to down some beers
I live way down
